One Stroke
ISIA Urbino
Bachelor degree thesis project.
Supervised by Lorenzo Bravi, Andreas Gysin.
143 pages, 12x16 cm
Typeset in: TWK Lausanne, Edition by Elias Hanzer
One Stroke explores the evolution of monolinear and vector fonts, tracing their transformation from industrial tools to objects of visual experimentation. It examines the transition from technical instrument to expressive resource, focusing on the design methodologies applied in modern typeface renditions and how these experiences converge in the creation of an online type tool capable of extracting a single-line vector from any typeface. The book is accompanied by a plexiglass piece milled with a composition generated through the tool, serving as a three-dimensional specimen produced with a technique akin to those analyzed in the book.

Proposal for the first edition of DĒP SĒ Festival, a fictional project that envisions the creation of a multidisciplinary cultural event. The project includes the development of the festival’s concept, curatorial direction, visual identity, website, social media presence, and merchandise design. The conceptual foundation of the festival draws inspiration from Mediterranea’s ongoing efforts to shed light on the humanitarian tragedies taking place across the Mediterranean Sea. It focuses on raising awareness about the countless victims of migratory journeys—individuals forced to cross the sea in search of safety, fleeing from war, poverty, and environmental catastrophes.

Processed Shore is a fictional editorial project that presents a playful and experimental fusion between Generative Design by Hartmut Bohnacker and Stephen Shore by Michael Fried. The publication explores the intersection between algorithmic creation and photographic theory, translating textual and visual material into a new hybrid form. The images featured in the book are generated through a custom Processing sketch, which draws inspiration from the visual structures found in Bohnacker’s work while integrating descriptive phrases extracted from Fried’s critical text. This dialogue between code and language creates a continuous exchange between analytical and perceptual modes of reading. Across its pages, the complete essay unfolds in a linear sequence, interwoven with the generative imagery, producing a rhythm that blurs the boundary between image and text.

UN GIORNO is a fictional newspaper that narrates the same date over the span of thirty years, tracing its repetition through time and observing how history, politics, and global attention evolve across decades. The project focuses on the front covers of the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, selecting and highlighting the nations that are mentioned in the main headlines of each edition. By isolating and emphasizing these geographical references, UN GIORNO visually reconstructs the shifting map of international interest as reflected in Italian media.

Physical Words
ISIA Urbino
Spatial Design Course
Orto Botanico dell’Università di Urbino Carlo Bo
Supervised by ParasiteParasite.
Visual identity and space sonorization designed for Physical Words, final exhibition of the course held by ParasiteParasite at ISIA Urbino. The exhibition consisted of five performances presenting hypothetical curatorial projects conceived for five different hostile environments. Each solid represents the structure designed for one of the projects. The performances, hosted in Urbino’s botanic garden, were accompanied by a site-specific soundscape composition diffused through a hidden speaker system placed in selected points across the garden. The sonic layer was designed to subtly guide visitors toward each performance location.
